Import free GLB models into Godot

Use a free model as a static scene object, or bring in a supplied Godot scene with its dependencies.

Import steps

  1. Download the model’s complete ZIP if you need its supplied LODs, engine scene or source files. The separate GLB is the default model only.
  2. Create a folder inside your Godot project and keep the package’s relative model, material and script paths together. Copy the asset folders you need; keep your own project.godot settings.
  3. For a standalone GLB, copy it into the project, wait for import, then instance it in a 3D scene. For a supplied Godot scene, open that scene after its dependencies have imported.
  4. Inspect dimensions, materials and lighting in your own scene. If the package supplies LOD or collision, check those components at the camera distances and physics settings your game uses.

Before using the asset in a game

The catalog currently describes static assets. A successful import does not certify animation, navigation, a standalone game build or mobile frame rate. Each model page states its supplied features and test limits.
